Townsfolk will, if pressed say that this land may indicate that the gods are upset at something, they must be. This place is haunted by a horrific creature in the moonlight.

The monks in the monastery will be uneasy and suggest that the party would be safer to just get up and go. To be gone. Arthur will lock himself away at night. 

==Moonlit Monastery==

The structure, built from pale, iridescent stone that shimmers with a soft, opalescent glow, rises majestically from the water. Its design is inspired by celestial bodies and the phases of the moon, with sweeping, curved walls that reflect the cyclical nature of the lunar goddess's reign. The monastery seems to float, its foundation barely visible beneath the glassy surface of the lake, as if suspended between the physical world and the heavens.

Access to the monastery is gained via a series of slender, arching stone bridges, their surfaces adorned with delicate carvings of moons, stars, and lunar symbols. The bridges appear to be suspended in mid-air, creating a sense of walking on the very light of the moon itself as one crosses them. The lake surrounding the monastery is perfectly still, mirroring the sky above in a way that gives the illusion of endless space, and at night, the water reflects the full moon with such clarity that the structure seems to be floating on a glowing, celestial sea.

The entrance to the Moonlit Monastery is a grand archway, flanked by towering columns that rise high into the air, carved from pale marble and inlaid with silver filigree. The archway itself is adorned with intricate designs of lunar phases, from the crescent to the full moon, with the central symbol depicting a radiant moon encircled by rays of light. Upon crossing the threshold, visitors are met with a vast, open courtyard, its floor a mosaic of polished stones depicting the night sky, with constellations, comets, and stars scattered across its surface. At the center of the courtyard is a serene reflecting pool, which mirrors the sky above, giving the impression that the heavens themselves are within reach.

Inside the monastery, the air is cool and filled with a sense of profound stillness, broken only by the soft echoes of chanting monks. The interior architecture is defined by sweeping arches and vaulted ceilings, with large stained-glass windows depicting scenes of lunar deities, celestial events, and the moon's influence on the world below. The colors of the glass are rich yet calming, with shades of silver, deep violet, and midnight blue, casting soft, colored light across the stone floors.

The heart of the Moonlit Monastery is the Sanctuary of the Full Moon, a vast chamber where the monks gather for the most sacred ceremonies. The chamber’s ceiling is a grand dome, open to the sky, allowing the light of the moon to pour through an enormous, circular skylight. The room is bathed in the silvery glow of the full moon, and at the center stands an altar, crafted from a single piece of dark stone and adorned with symbols of lunar cycles and phases. Incense wafts through the air, and the soft sounds of chanting fill the space, creating a meditative atmosphere of deep spirituality.

Around the sanctuary are smaller chambers dedicated to study, meditation, and prayer. These rooms are sparse, with only the most essential furnishings: small cushions for sitting, low wooden tables for writing, and shelves filled with ancient texts that are said to hold the secrets of the moon’s power. The monks who reside in the monastery live simple lives, their days filled with quiet contemplation, scholarly study, and prayer. Many of them possess a deep understanding of the lunar cycles, astrology, and the mystical arts associated with the moon.

The library, located on the upper floors of the monastery, is a sanctuary in itself. The shelves are filled with tomes of forgotten lore, containing knowledge passed down from generations of moon-worshippers. Some of the texts describe ancient rituals meant to commune with the moon, while others delve into the scientific study of the celestial bodies. It attracts pilgrims and scholars from far and wide, seeking the wisdom of the monks and the clarity that comes from gazing into the moonlit waters and reflecting upon the vastness of the sky. Those who are chosen to train as monks are taught to live in harmony with the lunar cycles, understanding that their lives are intertwined with the rhythms of the moon.

For the people of Fjorynn, the Moonlit Monastery is the heart of their city and faith, a sacred and awe-inspiring place where the terrestrial and celestial realms meet, and where the mysteries of the moon are studied, revered, and celebrated in eternal devotion.
