World Creation

Millenia ago, as the universe formed and the raw energy of creation began forming the material plane and Velandor. Life thrived and evolved in relative peace and across Velandor nine rulers emerge looking after their own domains. These nine rulers came together and formed a council to rule and encourage growth across Velandor working collaboratively in the worlds best interests.

In the 27^th year of this council the world itself was struck by a meteor which was brought before the council for inspection as they discussed the threat of this happening again. During their discussions and planning a reaction from the meteor was triggered and each of the members of the council took on a portion of the meteor's power. They discovered that the meteor was a mass of raw creation remaining from the formation of the world. The council members had now been infused with the divine power of creation and became the first pantheon of gods in Velandor.

Historical Events

With the formation of the council, Velandor prospered until the meteor hit. Breaking what is now known as Mathon and Aragos away from the main land of Velandor and causing costal floods as well as erratic weather events and a shift in the tundras.

As the council convened and began investigating the meteor, as part of their investigations an event was triggered and each member absorbed and amount of raw creation. Imbued with this new power the members of the council became devine beings and as a result the founding pantheon of Velandor

Legends

It is rumoured that the gods can be defeated and once defeated you can absorb their divine essence and ascend to godhood yourself.
